5 Low-Flying Hot-Air Balloons
By Finn Cassidy
Alpine altitude
lauds high-flyers flying low,
jump-height over corn.
Bright teardrop rainbows
animate satin stillness
in June morn’s mauve sky.
Early air’s faint moon
floats pale, distant - hanging round
to spot airborne stripes.
Baskets’ buoyant loads
torch loud through space’s deep seas.
Awe’s waves rise and fall.
Slow, stunning turns show
sights of all slow, stunning turns.
Wave! - We’re all airborne!
