Haiku

By Alan Summers

dog mouser…
the moon’s whiskers
brush alongside

imaginary sandcastles
taking a turn with the tide
someone like me

fingers in the water trailing our dna back to its source

slippery moon I trail chapters of tepid rain

slip of the tongue a moon swallowed whole
